Border Run from Phuket to Malaysia (Satun) and Myanmar (Ranong)

A border run involves leaving Thailand and re-entering through a neighbouring country. Our Phuket programmes travel through Satun to Malaysia or through Ranong to Myanmar, with a boat crossing on the Ranong route. These programmes do not include applying for a new Thai visa at an embassy or consulate.

A visa run is a trip outside Thailand to apply for a Thai visa.

An air border run involves flying to another country and then returning to Thailand.

Satun is the route to the Malaysian border. We offer a standard overnight departure and a morning ECO departure, as well as a border meeting option and private trips.

Ranong is the route to the Myanmar border and includes a boat crossing to Myanmar and back. You leave Phuket early in the morning and return that evening.

Your choice depends on your nationality, immigration history, preferred departure time and whether you are comfortable with a boat crossing. Check the price, schedule and inclusions for your chosen option. We will check your eligibility before sending a payment link.

ECO is our trial budget format with a morning departure from Phuket. It suits travellers who prefer a lower price and are comfortable with simpler transport and service during the journey.

We use independent drivers with their own vehicles. Vehicle age, interior condition and comfort can vary, and some vehicles may show noticeable signs of wear. We do not guarantee a particular vehicle model. The level of service also depends on the driver.

Breakfast is included. If there are not enough participants for an ECO departure, we may move the trip to the standard format. We will let you know about changes to the schedule and arrangements in advance.

If vehicle comfort and service are particularly important to you, choose the standard programme.

Eligibility is checked individually and depends on your nationality, chosen route, basis of entry and immigration history. Previous border runs and extensions of stay are taken into account.

When submitting your booking request, attach clear photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay. Tell us about any previous entry refusals, valid visas or overstay.

We will check the conditions for joining the trip and any applicable additional charges before sending a payment link.

Your permitted stay depends on your nationality, visa type or eligibility for visa-exempt entry, and the rules in force at the time of travel. We will check the conditions for your passport before payment.

Thai immigration officers make the final decision on entry and the permitted length of stay. After returning, check the “admitted until” date in your new entry stamp and use that date when planning your next extension or departure.

Choose your date based on when you will actually pass through Thai departure immigration. This must happen no later than the last permitted day shown in your entry stamp or extension.

For the overnight Satun programme, pickup may begin on the evening of the previous calendar day, while the border crossing takes place in the morning. Check the exact pickup date and time in your booking confirmation.

Include the expiry date of your permitted stay in your request so we can check the appropriate departure. Where possible, allow extra time for unexpected delays.

Yes, you do not have to wait until the final day of your permitted stay. We will check your eligibility for the trip in advance. Unused days from your previous permitted stay are not added to a new period granted on re-entry.

The standard Satun programme collects passengers around midnight and returns to Phuket the following afternoon. You spend the night travelling; there is no overnight hotel stay.

The morning ECO trip to Satun and the Ranong trip depart early in the morning and return to Phuket that evening.

Check the itinerary for your chosen programme and keep enough time available for the journey. Return times are approximate and depend on traffic and border processing. The Ranong route also depends on weather and boat crossing conditions.

Bring your original passport with at least six months of remaining validity. If your passport expires sooner, mention this in your booking request so we can check whether you can join.

Depending on your nationality and basis of entry, you may also need an onward ticket, proof of accommodation or evidence of sufficient funds. We will check your documents and tell you what to prepare before payment.

Yes. Complete and submit your TDAC yourself before departing for the border run. We do not fill in the form on behalf of clients.

Use the official TDAC website and follow the submission window shown there. Enter the date you will actually return to Thailand.

Your pickup point depends on your programme and accommodation address. We can arrange pickup from a hotel or an agreed point along the vehicle’s route. For a condominium, this may be the nearest main road.

Enter your accommodation name and full address in your booking request. For remote areas, a separate transfer may be needed at an additional charge, or you can make your own way to the agreed meeting point.

We will confirm the exact pickup time and location. If you select the border meeting option, transport from Phuket is not included.

Our group trips from Phuket include return transport to the border, assistance with border formalities and a meal: breakfast for the standard overnight and morning ECO Satun trips, or lunch for the Ranong trip.

If you choose the border meeting option, you arrange and pay for your own transport to the meeting point and onwards after returning to Thailand.

Additional charges may apply for travel using a valid visa, visa cancellation, seat selection or a transfer from a remote area. Any overstay fine is paid separately. For private trips, a per-person participation fee is added to the price of the vehicle.

After receiving your request, we will check your documents, confirm the inclusions and total price, and then send a payment link.

Include your visa type, its expiry date and the expiry date of your current permitted stay in your booking request. Attach photos of your visa and entry stamps. If you need to cancel a visa or permission to stay, mention this separately.

We will check your eligibility, advise which programme is suitable and confirm any additional arrangements or charges. We will send the payment link after checking availability and the conditions for joining the trip.

Yes. You can book our border meeting option at Wang Prachan in Satun. You travel independently to the agreed meeting point on the Thai side and complete the border formalities with our group.

Submit your request in advance and receive your booking confirmation, meeting time and location before travelling to the border. Arriving independently does not mean you can cross with our group at any time you choose.

We also arrange private trips from Phuket to Satun for groups of up to 10 passengers. Include your preferred date, departure address and passenger numbers in your request. The vehicle price is for the group, with an additional participation fee for each passenger. We will confirm the total before sending a payment link.

You can request a particular seat for an additional charge when submitting your booking request. We will confirm the requested seat and its cost before payment.

If you plan to bring a suitcase, pushchair or other bulky luggage, enter the number of items and their dimensions in the “Additional information” field. We will check the available luggage space and let you know about any additional charges before sending a payment link.

Bring your original passport, the documents we have asked you to prepare, your TDAC confirmation and your booking details.

For the journey, we recommend comfortable clothing and footwear, a light extra layer, a travel pillow, drinking water and a charged phone with a power bank. Keep some Thai baht available for personal expenses.

Some programmes offer a child fare. Check the price and age conditions for your selected option. Include your child’s age and nationality in the request and attach photos of their travel documents and entry stamp.

Check your child’s permitted stay separately from your own and resolve any questions about an extension or departure before it expires.

If you need a child seat or have questions about documents for the accompanying adult, include these details in your request so we can confirm the arrangements before payment.

Yes. Thai immigration officers make the final decision on entry. Our advance document check helps us assess your situation, but it does not guarantee admission.

Provide your complete Thai immigration history and tell us about any previous entry refusals, overstay or valid visas when submitting your request. We will check whether the chosen trip is suitable before payment.

Include your nationality and the exact expiry date of your permitted stay in your request, and attach photos of your documents. We will assess whether you can join the trip.

Any overstay fine is paid separately and is not included in the border run price. Paying a fine does not guarantee eligibility for the trip or re-entry into Thailand.

Payment can be made by:

1. Visa or Mastercard.

2. Transfer to a Thai bank account. You can pay in Thai baht through a cash deposit machine, at a bank branch or through a Thai bank’s mobile app.

3. Cash at our Phuket office. You can pay at our office in Thai baht only, at least 3 days before the trip.

Select your programme and preferred date, complete the booking form and attach the requested document photos.

We will check availability, your eligibility and the total price. Only after these checks will we send a payment link and further details via WhatsApp or email. No payment is required when you submit your request.

Submit your request early, particularly if your permitted stay is about to expire. Document checks and seat availability can affect your choice of departure date.

Before travelling, make sure you have received your booking confirmation and the exact meeting time and location.

Free cancellation is available at least 3 days before departure. To request cancellation or rescheduling, contact our support team and provide your booking number. The availability and conditions of rescheduling, or cancellation closer to departure, must be checked separately.

If the vehicle has not arrived at the agreed time, use the contact details in your booking confirmation or contact our support team. Provide your booking number and the location where you are waiting. Do not change your meeting point without checking with us.
