Border Run from Khao Lak to Myanmar (Ranong)

You join the group at an agreed meeting point early in the morning, travel by bus to Ranong and complete Thai departure immigration formalities. You then cross to Myanmar by boat, complete the border formalities and return to Thailand.

After the return boat crossing and Thai entry immigration, there is lunch at a Thai restaurant. You return to Khao Lak that evening.

A border run involves leaving Thailand and re-entering to request a new permitted period of stay, if you are eligible for that entry.

A visa run is a trip outside Thailand to apply for a Thai visa. This border run from Khao Lak does not include visiting a consulate or applying for a new Thai visa.

Eligibility is checked individually and depends on your nationality, basis of entry and immigration history. Previous border runs and extensions of stay are taken into account.

When submitting your request, attach clear photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay. Tell us about any valid visas, previous entry refusals or overstays.

We will check whether you can join and confirm any additional charges before sending a payment link.

Your permitted stay depends on your nationality, visa type or eligibility for visa-exempt entry, and the rules in force at the time of travel. We will check the conditions for your passport after receiving your request.

Thai immigration officers make the final decision on entry and the permitted length of stay. After returning, check the “admitted until” date in your new entry stamp and use that date when planning your next extension or departure.

Choose your date based on when you will actually pass through Thai departure immigration. This must happen no later than the last permitted day shown in your entry stamp or extension.

The trip from Khao Lak starts in the morning, and the border crossing is scheduled for the same day. Include the expiry date of your permitted stay in your request so we can check the appropriate departure.

Allow extra time where possible. Take the departure schedule, seat availability and possible delays on the road or at the border into account.

Yes, you do not have to wait until the final day of your permitted stay. We will check your eligibility in advance. Unused days from your previous permitted stay are not added to a new period granted on re-entry.

The bus travels from Phuket to Ranong. You board at an agreed point on the main road. Information about the meeting area and a map are provided in the Meeting Point in Khao Lak section above.

Enter your hotel name in the “Additional information” field of the booking form. We will advise you of the appropriate meeting point on the main road and confirm the boarding time.

Pickup directly from your hotel is not automatically included. Follow the agreed meeting arrangements and the instructions in your booking confirmation.

The trip takes one day. Boarding in Khao Lak is scheduled for approximately 05:00–05:30, with an estimated return at 17:00–18:00. Allow around 12–13 hours for the full journey. There is no overnight hotel stay.

The actual return time depends on traffic, weather, the boat crossing and border processing. Allow extra time when planning any onward travel.

Bring your original passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. If your passport expires sooner, mention this in your request and attach photos of your documents so we can check whether you can join.

For the advance check, prepare clear photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay.

Complete and submit your TDAC yourself before departure and save the confirmation on your phone. If additional documents are needed for your circumstances, we will let you know before payment.

Yes. Complete and submit your TDAC yourself before departing for the border run. We do not fill in the form on behalf of clients.

Use the official TDAC website and follow the submission window shown there. Enter your actual return date to Thailand and the details of your journey.

Save the confirmation QR code on your phone so you can access it without an internet connection.

The price includes shared transport from the agreed boarding point to Ranong and back, assistance with border formalities and lunch at a Thai restaurant. The return boat crossing and mandatory Myanmar border fees are included in the price.

Choosing a specific seat costs an additional THB 500 per person. Any overstay fine is paid separately and is not included in the trip price.

If you hold a valid visa, need to cancel one or have other document issues, include this information in your request. We will check the conditions for joining and confirm the inclusions and total price before sending a payment link.

Yes. The Ranong route includes a boat crossing to Myanmar and back. You will need to get on and off the boat during the crossing.

If you need help with mobility or boarding, mention this in your request before payment. We will check whether the trip is suitable for you. Weather conditions may affect the boat crossing and the overall journey time.

Yes. You can request a specific seat for an additional THB 500 per person. Select this option when submitting your request. We will check seat availability before payment.

If you plan to bring a suitcase, pushchair or other bulky luggage, enter the number of items and their dimensions in the “Additional information” field. We will check whether they can be carried and let you know about any additional charges.

Yes. A child fare is available for children under 14. The current price is shown in the price table. Include your child’s age and nationality in the request and attach photos of their travel documents and entry stamp.

Check your child’s permitted stay separately from your own. Resolve any questions about an extension or departure before it expires.

Please consider the long journey and boat crossing. If you need a child seat or have questions about documents for the accompanying adult, let us know before payment.

Include your nationality and the exact expiry date of your permitted stay in your request, and attach photos of your documents. Eligibility to join with an overstay is assessed individually.

Any overstay fine is paid separately and is not included in the border run price.

No payment is required when you submit your request. We will first check availability, your documents and the total price, then send a payment link or bank details.

1. Visa or Mastercard. Select your preferred payment method in the booking form.

2. Transfer to a Thai bank account. Pay in Thai baht through a banking app, at a bank branch or using a cash deposit machine. We will provide the payment details after checking your request.

3. Cash at our Phuket office. You can pay at our office in Thai baht. Arrange your visit and confirm the payment deadline for your chosen departure with our support team in advance.

Select an available date in the booking form, enter your contact details and hotel name, and attach photos of your documents. Include details of any valid visa, overstay or other relevant circumstances in the “Additional information” field.

We will check availability, your eligibility and the total price. After these checks, we will send a payment link and the necessary details via WhatsApp or email. No payment is required when you submit your request.

Submit your request early, especially if your permitted stay is about to expire. Before travelling, make sure you have received your booking confirmation and the exact meeting time and location.

Free cancellation is available at least 3 days before departure. To request cancellation or rescheduling, contact our support team and provide your booking number. The availability and conditions of rescheduling, or cancellation closer to departure, must be checked separately.

If the bus has not arrived at the agreed time, use the contact details in your booking confirmation or contact our support team. Provide your booking number and the location where you are waiting. Do not change your meeting point without checking with us.
