Border Run from Krabi to Malaysia (Satun)

A border run involves leaving Thailand and re-entering the country. Our trips from Krabi travel to the Malaysian border via Satun. They do not include applying for a new Thai visa at a consulate. A trip made to apply for a visa is usually called a visa run.

Both programmes travel to the Malaysian border via Satun. The night option leaves Krabi at approximately 02:30–02:45 and returns around 12:00–13:00. The morning ECO option leaves around 06:30 and returns at approximately 18:00.

ECO costs less and offers more basic transport and service. We use independent drivers with their own vehicles, so interior condition and comfort levels may vary. If comfort is particularly important to you, choose the standard night option.

If there are not enough participants for ECO, we may move your booking to the standard programme. We will inform you in advance of any changes to the schedule or conditions.

Boarding takes place at PTT Gasoline station, shown on the map in the Meeting Point in Krabi section. You need to make your own way there. Hotel pickup is not included in these options.

Check your booking confirmation for the exact boarding date and time. On the return journey, remind the driver in advance that you are getting off in Krabi, as the bus continues to Phuket.

Eligibility is checked individually based on your nationality, basis of entry and immigration history. Previous border runs and extensions of stay are taken into account.

Attach clear photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay. Your permitted stay depends on your nationality, visa type or eligibility for visa-exempt entry, and the rules in force at the time of travel. We will check the conditions for your passport after receiving your request.

Thai immigration officers make the final decision on entry and the permitted length of stay. After returning, check the “admitted until” date in your new entry stamp and use that date when planning your next extension or departure.

Choose your date based on when you will actually pass through Thai departure immigration. This must happen no later than the last permitted day shown in your entry stamp or extension.

Both programmes from Krabi are scheduled to cross the border on the departure date. For the night option, boarding around 02:30 means the early morning of your selected travel date, so prepare for the journey on the previous evening.

Include the expiry date of your permitted stay in your request. Allow extra time where possible, taking the departure schedule, seat availability and potential delays into account.

Yes, you do not have to wait until the final day of your permitted stay. We will check your eligibility for re-entry in advance. Unused days from your previous permitted stay are not added to a new period granted on re-entry.

Bring your original passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. If your passport expires sooner, mention this in your request so we can check whether you can join.

Complete and submit your TDAC yourself before departure and save the confirmation on your phone.

Yes. Complete and submit your Thailand Digital Arrival Card before departing for the border run. We do not fill in the form on behalf of clients.

Use the official TDAC website and follow the submission window shown there. Enter your actual return date to Thailand. Save your confirmation QR code so you can access it without an internet connection.

The price includes shared return transport between PTT Gasoline station in Krabi and the border, breakfast at a Thai café and assistance with border formalities. You arrange your own transport to the boarding point and from the drop-off point.

Optional seat selection costs an additional THB 500 per person. Additional charges may apply when travelling with a valid visa or arranging its cancellation. Any overstay fine is paid separately.

Check your child’s permitted stay separately from your own. Resolve any questions about an extension or departure before it expires. If you need a child seat or have questions about documents for the accompanying adult, let us know before payment.

Include your nationality and the exact expiry date of your permitted stay in your request, and attach photos of your documents. Eligibility to join with an overstay is assessed individually. Any overstay fine is paid separately and is not included in the trip price.

Select your programme and an available date, complete the booking request and attach photos of your documents. Include details of valid visas, overstay or other relevant circumstances in the additional information section.

We will check availability, your eligibility and the total price. Only after these checks will we send a payment link and the necessary details via WhatsApp or email. No payment is required when you submit your request.

Submit your request early. Before travelling, make sure you have received your booking confirmation and the exact boarding date, time and location.

Free cancellation is available at least 3 days before departure. To request cancellation or rescheduling, contact our support team and provide your booking number. The availability and conditions of rescheduling, or cancellation closer to departure, must be checked separately.

If the bus has not arrived at the agreed time, use the contact details in your booking confirmation or contact our support team. Provide your booking number and the location where you are waiting. Do not change your meeting point without checking with us.
